Both exercises were relaxing but I found the subtle mind to relax me more. I think is was more so the sound of the music and water splashing was a perfect combination to relax and clear the mind. I didn't particularly like the women's voice, it interrupted my flow and disturbed me a little. Her voice wasn't relaxing at all.
The connection of the spiritual wellness to mental and physical wellness all go hand in hand for me. There was a time in my life where my life felt like it was falling apart and I could not figure out why. It wasn't until I got my renewed my relationship with God that the rest of my life seem to fall in line. I feel that as long as I keep my spiritual wellness up to par with the help of God everything else will be fine.
I have learned that for me prayer is the key to having a healthy spiritual, mental, and physical well being.
Hi Tonya,
ReplyDeleteNo matter what they write in books or teach us in classes, I feel the same as you do. My relationship with God and prayer is what guides me toward integral health, happiness and success in my life. It raised my consciousness so that I can see things as it describes in our books, as they really are and takes away all the confusion. The problems and the people don't go away :O) but dealing with them certainly is easier and a lot more productive. :O) Donna
Hi Tonya,
ReplyDeleteI found the subtle mind practice was more easier to attain than the lovingkindness. I don't think there is anything wrong with practice 1, however that one for me will take more time with daily practice. I would like to learn the lovingkindness practice and incorporate that with my spiritual prayer life. I also have a relationship with the Lord, and I think that is ok to learn things but at the same time keeping God at the head is awesome. He gives us wisdom if we ask for it!
